On May 2nd, over 120 middle school girls joined with University of St. Joseph educators and students to increase their awareness of opportunities in STEM!!

We kicked off the day with a warm welcome from USJ President, Dr. Rhona Free. She shared her experiences in science and the highlighted the importance of young women pursuing these non-traditional skills. We then welcomed Sarah, high school student who won this year's t-shirt design contest! She talked about her enthusiasm for the STEM fields and desire to pursue aeronautical engineering! Afterwards, welcomed the winners of this year's activity to lead us in the "{NOT} Tower of PEACH-A" building contest, which was a TON of FUN!! Then girls then split into several groups to learn about pharmaceuticals, chromatography, food science, pollution, nutrition, DNA, and much more!

THANK YOU to the University of St. Joseph for supporting this inspiring event!
