Coding Workshop for Girls at the Connecticut Science Center
The Connecticut Science Center’s training sessions are open to girls in middle and high school (grades 6-12), and provide instruction in MIT App Inventor, a user friendly coding language that enables even novice users to program and build fully functional apps for Android devices. Girls will work in teams to design and create apps and games for mobile devices. Specific to the Connecticut Science Center’s travelling exhibition Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion, an aspect of the training will connect Leonardo da Vinci’s practice of encryption during the Renaissance to the necessity of encryption in the 21st century.
